youth serving organization, we are young people giving a voice to other young people, and we are
striving to ensure active participation of young people in issues affecting the nation of Trinidad and
Tobago.
Who can Join TYC?
Any Youth between the age of 12 to 30 years and who is residing in Trinidad, within the refined
geographical area can join their District Youth Council (DYC) and contribute to TYC’s holistic
development. This includes youth groups, CBOs, individuals, etc. In fact by virtue of residency,
representation may be viewed as an automatic right- once it is in keeping with the constitution, aims
and objectives of our youth movement. This to ensure that all youth in the district are “visible” – that
they are easily identifiable so as to benefit from the wide range of programs conducted in their
communities.
Some benefits of joining the youth council are Youth representation, Capacity Building and Leadership
Training, Education, Sensitization and awareness, community mobilization, Advocacy and Thematic
